Mr. Moon's Oscar Picks

Here are my picks for the Oscars that will be shown this year. I will tell you who I think deserve to win, and who is likely to win. Lets see who will win and who should win.

Best Supporting Actress

Who should win: Marisa Tomei in the Wrestler
Who will win: Amy Adams in Doubt

This is one of the closest races for best actress in decades. Really anyone deserves the honor. I just think Marisa Tomei’s is one of the best actresses out there.

Best Supporting Actor

Who Should win: Robert Downey Jr. in Tropic Thunder.
Who will win: Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight

No knock on Heath’s performance. I think he did a great role, but yet I have also seen him do great work in other films, that he was better in. The role that Robert Downey did couldn’t be done by any other actor. He is one of the truly greats that can pull off that type of character and get away with it.

Best Actress

Who should win: Angelina Jolie in Changeling
Who will win: Kate Winslet in The Reader

Kate Winslet is set to win this as being a bridesmaid for so many years. I do think that Angelina Jolie performance is more genuine.

Best Actor

Who should win: Frank Langella in Frost Nixon
Who will win: Mickey Rourke in the Wrestler

Once again, another tight race and it is really anybody’s race.

Best Director

Who should win: David Fincher in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Who will win: Danny Boyle in Slumdog Millionaire

Even though I feel that Slumdog Millionaire is the best picture this year, David Fincher directing and prestine picture quality was extraordinary. Danny Boyle did a great job, but compared to Finchers work, it is surreal.

Who will win: Slumdog Millionaire
