It’s now confirmed that John Stevenson (KUNG FU PANDA) will be directing a new version of HE-MAN. In the new version, Adam is a soldier who sets off to find his destiny, happening upon magical world called Eternia. There, a being called Skeletor has raised a technological army and is bent on eradicating all traces of magic. Production would kick off late 2009/early 2010. No word on a potential release date as yet.
20th Century Fox is said to be developing a reboot of PREDATOR with Robert Rodriguez and Troublemaker Studios producing. This time however it will follow a team of commandos who must face several of the vicious monsters. No writer has yet been set.
Sylvester Stallone says he's planning to play John Rambo again - "Yeah, we are doing another 'Rambo,' but the conflict is whether to do it in America or a foreign country.
Either Marvel Studios is completely out of money or they have the worst negotiators in the world. First, we found out that Sam Jackson is most likely not returning because they would not pay him what he is worth. Now we find out this week that although Sam Rockwell and Mickey Rourke are talking to be lead villains, word has leaked that Marvel is only offering Rourke 250k to play the part! This after he was just nominated for a best actor Oscar! This same nonsense appeared to go on with Jon Favreau. What a joke!
After Disney decided to dump the NARNIA series, it turns out that 20th Century Fox is picking it back up officially now. The next film will be VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER and the budget will be around $140 million (considerably less than the previous films).
A-TEAM is back on track after losing Singleton as the directory. Now Joe Carnahan (WHITE JAZZ) is looking to be the new director with a release date targeted for June 2010.
It was inevitable but a live action version of TOM & JERRY where the main characters are CGI similar to the ALVIN & THE CHIPMUNKS film. It will be an origin story that reveals how Tom and Jerry first meet and form their rivalry before getting lost in Chicago and reluctantly working together during an arduous journey home.
Ryan Reynolds has been brought in, not for reshoots, but actually for additional footage for the upcoming WOLVERINE film. His Deadpool character is getting more screen time with many new scenes involving Jackman as well. It turns out his work is pretty fun so they want more of it.
Speilberg is all set to direct the first of a trilogy of TIN-TIN films with Peter Jackson taking the directing job on the second film. Jamie Bell is playing Tin Tin. Daniel Craig is going to play the pirate Red Rackham. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are playing Thompson and Thompson. The first film will be titled THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN: THE SECRET OF THE UNICORN.

I'm pumped for another Rambo. The last one was awesome. I think Stallone should call the new one John. Just John. Kick ass. I'm not sure what I think about Carnahan taking on the A-Team script. I'll have to think about that one for a while. We'll see.
