Batman - The Dark Knight

This has been a year of big blockbuster movies, especially for Superheroes. We have seen from Iron Man, to the Hulk, to even the legendary Indiana Jones. However, none of these movies could stand on the platform and prestige greatness as Batman, the Dark Knight.Directed and written by the Christopher Nolan, who also did Batman Begins, directs there 2nd cape crusader film and it was a masterpiece. It was fast and so electrifying yet a great witty 2 ½ hours of film. It is really diverse and didn’t focus all the time on just batman, or just the Joker, or Two face, it was a well rounded film, with complex themes, and a plot that makes you wanting more and more.
The performance that really stands out was Heath Ledgers portrayal of the Joker. As many before the movie came out were skeptical on how he would match up to Jack Nicholson… If you had to compare them, Ledger blew Nicholson’s performance out of the water. I hope and expect to see Oscar nominations for Ledger. It was such a unique performance, and yet a great diverse of Malcolm McDowell in Clockwork Orange with a mix of Charley Chaplin.
I loved story telling of this film, and the theme. The theme is that we need to maintain hope for good, even if we have to sacrifice our own image and truth of right. I love how we got to know Harvey Two face, and his complex story and fate. I love how Batman really kept his great charisma and yet deficiencies as well.
If you haven’t seen this film yet, you need to go! I know this is hyping up the movie and put expectations, and most of the reviews out there are doing the same thing. It really holds its own and you won’t be disappointed. You should see it because it is the best superhero movie out there as we speak and truly the best movie on my list of the year.

Don't you mean "Heath" Ledger? Not "Keith" Ledger?
Thank you for the correction!
